Chairman of the Board

Larry is a 3rd generation Italian chef from Brooklyn NY.

He started Great Eats as a way to give back to the restaurant community where he has grown up.

Nikki Duncun

Board of Directors

Nikki manages a local small business that has ties to the food industry.

She has one major weakness in life and that’s southern cooking.

Hailing from the suburbs of Atlanta Georgia, she has been in and out of commercial kitchens her entire life.

Amy Alexander

Board of Directors

Amy is originally from Paris, France. She has managed restaurants in Europe and Asia for most of her career.

She and her family finally settled in Chicago, where she enjoys sampling all the Windy City offers.

Amy knows what it takes to become the best at your craft, as she was one of the original Great Eats Award winners.

James Thomas

Board ADvisor

James is a life long foodie and former executive chief.

He comes from a small family in Latin America, where he was first taught the art of flipping tortillas over an open fire by his great-grandmother.

Advanced Technology

We utilize advanced AI technology to help find the best food spots in America.

Our panel of judges uses this data to determine if a restaurant is the best in its class.

Because computer software doesn’t have the ability to taste (yet) we often rely on real-world interactions to make our final decisions.
