The restaurant's commitment to quality and hospitality has made it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

the story behind Cappy’s Restaurant.

Cappy’s was founded by Cappy Lawton and his wife, Suzy, who transitioned from careers in engineering and real estate to pursue their passion for the restaurant industry. Since opening The Quarter House in 1973, the Lawtons have developed and operated over 30 restaurants throughout Texas, including the beloved Cappyccino’s and La Fonda on Main. Their son, Trevor Lawton, now serves as CEO, continuing the family legacy.

Originally, Cappy’s served lunch only, offering three daily specials inspired by customers’ favorite home-cooked meals. This approach laid the foundation for the restaurant’s enduring commitment to comfort, quality, and community.
