Chef Quintin L. Perry, affectionately known as Chef Q, brings over three decades of culinary expertise to Off The Grill. Born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Chef Q’s passion for cooking was ignited by his grandmother, Osceola McClendon, and his mother, Doris Anderson. His culinary journey began with an apprenticeship at the Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles at 17, leading to his first Executive Chef position at the Radisson Gray Stone Castle in Colorado in 1995. Throughout his career, Chef Q has held various Sous and Executive Chef roles across Colorado, Louisiana, and Kansas, and has been instrumental in opening over twenty diverse restaurants. Returning to his roots, he established Off The Grill by Chef Q to share his love for smoked meats and fresh sides with the Hixson community.
